Like my GPS failure, our own attempts to navigate life often leave us feeling more lost. We try to rely on our own intellect, popular opinion, or temporary fixes, only to find ourselves back at square one, craving that clear sign, that reliable voice.
But Jesus' words in John 14:6 aren't just historical comfort for His disciples; they are living truth for us today. He is the unwavering compass for our troubled hearts, the unerring guide in a world that often feels utterly disoriented.
Finding Rest in the Way, Truth, and Life
So, what does this mean for us today? It means that when you're faced with a decision that causes anxiety or confusion, pause. Instead of trying to figure it out alone, intentionally ask, "Jesus, as the Way, what is your guidance here? As the Truth, what is the reality I need to see? As the Life, what is the right and flourishing path?"
Before you speak, before you act, take a moment to silently invite Him to illuminate your next step. He is not just preparing a place for you in His Father's house; He is the very presence that makes your troubled heart find rest, right here, right now. He is your True North, always pointing you Home.
